Website and Service Changes

This is where we'll announce the most recent additions and changes to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what has changed and why, take a look here first.

18/05/2009:

Local News is currently featured on our front page. This is mostly in response to some frustrating experiences of our Service Users in Wiltshire. Although we do not restrict ourselves to county boundaries, most of our direct experiences are in the Somerset, Avon and Wiltshire areas.

Wiltshire is the current local base of our operation and we have two small user support networks here. This means that I am often called in to help with problems these members have, or the problems of individuals that they meet. The fact that we tend to focus on the problems of Wiltshire should not be taken to mean that we feel that Wiltshire is necessarily exceptional.

I should also point out that I make no specific criticisms of individual professionals. You will see that I mostly talk in terms of the Institutions and Professions. Individual professionals and managers may, or may not have particular weaknesses and failing. Most of us do. It is managers who make the decisions of who to employ and how they are then managed.

To understand our 'critical perspective', please follow this link: The Basis for Criticism
