Service Directory

This is a section where we are going to build an information resource. To start with we will concentrate upon general contact details and descriptions for service organisations in each category (left). These will be the national umbrella organisations with a general description and web links. These umbrella organisations usually have up to date details on local services they cover.

The focus here will be on those organisations that cater to any psychological, emotional and social needs: mental health; physical, sexual and emotional abuse; institutional abuse; alcohol and drugs problems; learning difficulties; unemployment and employment issues; vulnerable person's special police units, homelessness & rooflessness; separation & divorce; family and child care problems; legal & human rights issues; advocacy and legal representation.

There are many other, more specific areas that we will cover but these follow the general character of the problems and issues that we are set up to relate to. The early focus will be on the UK but it is our intention to cover international organisations, at an increasingly local level. We will happily take advice from yourself about organisations that have been useful and will include 'service user' commentary on each of the major services performance.

Included in the service will be a database you will be able to search, using criteria that fit your particular needs. In this database we will include a critique of the organisation's objectives and performance, with summaries of your own general feedback.
